Amongst the most popular North American & Canadian timbers are West Red Cedar and Clear Douglas Fir.
Clear Douglas Fir is an imported Kiln Dried joinery timber with its appealing warm red/pink grain used for high quality interior and exterior furniture and structures. Thickness range from 25mm>100mm in random width but lengths are restricted to not much more than 4m long.
Western Red Cedar is a naturally durable species ideal for claddings which is both attractive and stable as it dries well after cutting. Typical section sizes: 25 x 100mm, 25 x 150mm, 50 x 100mm & 75mm & 100mm thick boards.
